Gemma Greenland MSc, BSc(Hons) Psych DipHyp(dist.) LHS CS DipCP

Gemma is a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor and Play Therapist.

As a member of The National Hypnotherapy Society and The National Counselling Society (the latter temporarily in a student capacity due to currently undertaking advanced training) she adheres to strict codes of ethics and practice. She also holds Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society.

Her qualifications include an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Diploma with distinction in Hypnotherapy, a Diploma in Pschotherapeutic Counselling and a Masters Degree in Play Therapy. Gemma is currently completing an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. As part of this training she also currently works as a volunteer counsellor for Cardiff Mind.

After gaining her degree, she began using her skills to help improve the lives of others, working as a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant.

Whilst taking a break from employment to have two children, she began training in hypnotherapy and counselling. She in fact came across the hypnotherapy element by accident and, like many people, was somewhat skeptical. However, she quickly realised that hypnotherapy can be a remarkably effective way of treating a large number of issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety and stress. Throughout her life she had suffered with all three of these problems and whilst personally undergoing both hypnotherapy and counselling she was shocked at the difference it made to her and her life. So much so that she moved into specialising in these areas in order to help others the way she had been helped.

In 2016 she went on to complete a Masters Degree in Play Therapy and now combines her skills to offer services in hypnotherapy, counselling and parenting support.
