Gemma Greenland MSc, BSc(Hons) Psych DipHyp(dist.) LHS CS DipCPGemma is a qualified and Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor and Play Therapist.
As a member of The National Hypnotherapy Society I adhere to strict codes of ethics and practice. I also hold Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society.
My qualifications include an Honours Degree in Psychology, a Diploma in Hypnotherapy in which I achieved a distinction, a Diploma in Pschotherapeutic Counselling and a Masters Degree in Play Therapy. I am currently undertaking further training in counselling, in order to attain an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. As part of this training I also currently work as a volunteer counsellor for Cardiff Mind.
After gaining my degree I decided to use my skills to help improve the lives of others and to that end I worked as a teaching assistant specialising in helping children with special education needs.
I came across hypnotherapy by accident and like many people I was somewhat skeptical. I quickly realised that hypnotherapy can be a remarkably effective way of treating a large number of issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety and stress. Before I discovered hypnotherapy I suffered with all three of these problems. Throughout my training she underwent hypnotherapy and was shocked at the difference it made to her life. So much so that I decided to specialise in these areas in order to help others the way she had been helped.
On completion of my hynotherapy training, I went on to qualify as a counsellor, and in 2016 I completed a masters degree in Play Therapy. I now combine my skills to offer services in hypnotherapy, counselling and parenting support.
